Moving right along with quiet car games (did you miss the travel tanagrams freebie?) we now have magnetic travel bingo! Get each of the kids you’ll be travelling with a cheapie cookie sheet from Wal-Mart for 97 cents and print out your freebies for tons of trapped in a car fun.

Now car bingo was one of my very favorite travel games. My Poppa, sister and I had a set with little doors that would slide over and lock. But we only had 4 boards and one didn’t work very well. So about halfway from Texas to California in the back of a pick up truck with a camper on top (laws were so different back then, weren’t they!) we figured knew which one of the cards was most likely the winner. And that isn’t any fun, is it?

So I’ve created 8 different travel bingo freebie “boards” for you to download and print.

I had mine printed at Kinko’s to save a bunch of money on ink for me. The cost was just under a buck!

Trim your paper in half both ways and you’ve now got your 8 individual boards. I’m guessing that you could probably laminate these guys for them to last longer, but with the way we lose things I figure I can just reprint them if I need to for less money.

And every bingo game needs its daubers! I bought a package of 48 magnets from Wal-Mart for around $6. Glue some colored construction paper onto one side and you’re all set!

I’m working on some other magnetic travel games that I’ll be sharing in the coming weeks. Hoping your Thursday is going really well!

I love your bingo boards… Here is why… The cow and horse. It really makes me think of my childhood driving the big distances between cities in the west (and makes me excited for the big move back west). If you lived on the east coast, you probably would have included a toll booth and a Starbucks!

I kept trying to think of things that everyone all around the world would see. Cows and horses are so freaking common where I am (seriously I am looking at a neighbor's cow right now out my office window) that it just seemed to be a good tile for the travel bingo but I forget that not everyplace is Oklahoma :) I wouldn't even know how to make a little icon for a toll booth. I drive through one every three months, max!

A year late, but this diy is a good idea. Does Walmart sell smallish cookie sheets? The cookie sheets I know would be quite big, no? I would be tempted to paint the magnets with nail polish instead of the paper top. I wonder if there are other car games that could be created and printed and used with the magnets?

They do! I actually saw the same ones I used there tonight for less than a buck!
