welcome to dream a little bigger
Hey, there. I’m Allison!
I’m an Okie transplant living in the Houston, TX area crafting my heart out. I love anything with four legs. Any time spent crafting, crocheting, baking, or gardening is time I’m truly happy. Right now my favorite color is moss green but it’ll change because I’m crazy fickle! I loved crochet before it was cool (no, really!) and I’ll love it long after it goes out of fashion. I’ll do any craft that keeps my hands and mind busy and more than likely I’ll blog about it :)
I’m so excited to have you here at my little home on the internet, Dream a Little Bigger! I’m proud to think it is one of the craftiest places on the internet with literally hundreds of original craft tutorials. I hope you enjoy our variety of easy crafts, affordable home DIY projects, tasty recipes, crochet patterns, free SVG cut files and so much more. Welcome!

Want to Know More About the Dream?
DreamaLittleBigger.com came to be in February of 2012. I had worked in real estate and after the bust in 2008 I found myself moved to part-time employment before being laid off altogether. Having a graphic design degree I decided to go out on my own & quickly built my business. Suddenly without the need to commute at least 2 hours a day, I had a lot of time on my hands. And so I found myself crafting an awful lot. Which meant a lot of trips the the craft store…
Now I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Oklahoma, but if you have you know one thing as well as I do… Okies have never met a stranger and will talk the ear off of anybody! And that’s exactly how I met a man in the check out line at the craft store picking up supplies for his wife who he had set up a craft blog for. She could try to make it a viable business for a few years and in the process write her craft supplies off on her taxes.
I didn’t even know what a blog was but I went home and researched and started setting up this site that very night. Not really expecting much, I was absolutely surprised when later 2012 I was able to quit my print design business and become a full-time craft blogger. Every day I’m so thankful for readers like you who allow me the chance to Dream a Little Bigger every day for a living!
