I have always really enjoyed coloring. As a kid, I had a white wicker basket full of coloring books at my grandparents’ house. And in that basket, I also had a giant Royal Dansk cookie tin FULL of crayons. My grandfather also really liked to color and he had the most ornate coloring books. His birds and wildlife scenes were far more difficult than my Rainbow Brite pages. We would work on our coloring books side by side and proudly show off our most recent pages as they were completed. Poppa always gave me the perfect amount of praise over my designs and I always oohed and aahed with genuine appreciation over his.

I suppose that it probably is no surprise that as an adult I still like coloring. And somewhere in boxes in a storage building several miles away, I have some very lovely books. One of them is even a reproduction of a bird book I remember my grandfather coloring!
I was really bored one night and reminiscing and found myself really wanting to color something. But I most certainly did not want to drive out to my storage building to dig around and hopefully find a coloring book. Since I have a computer and since I have the means I decided to my graphic design education to use. I figure I spent the time in school, it might as well get used of it sometimes :)
The plan had been to only make 3 or 4 pages, things I had drafted in my head. But when I started it seemed I couldn’t stop. Instead of making a few fall coloring pages I wound up making an entire fall coloring book. :) It wasn’t necessarily time wasted, though, because today I get to share all 12 of those fall coloring pages I designed with you. Huzzah!

I must admit that these fall designs were initially just something I created for myself. As such, we’ve got a lot of pretty girly, very floral fall coloring pages. But we’ve also got acorns and leaves and even some very Thanksgiving-like ears of corn!
Some pages have little sayings on them, some are mandalas and others are just pretty things I put together. All of the pages have a fall theme in one way or another and all of them are free! And I hope you love them all just as much as I do!
