Last year my nephew was all about cowboys. He wanted the boots, the hat and Woody was practically his biggest hero. Upon speaking to him this past week, however, I have learned that cowboys are stupid (oh, the whims of a child). So, it looks like it will be back to the drawing board for this fickle little dude.

But there is no reason not to share! I absolutely adore this pattern and I’m sure any number of people would love to have the country themed receptacle for Santa’s goodies.

So what are you waiting for? Download the free pattern and get your felt on!

**EDIT – Thanks Rae – I failed to include the boot shape. Cut out two of this shape and patch your decorative pieces on top. Then use a blanket stitch to attach the front and back of the stocking together!!!

Hi, Rae. Thanks so much for catching that! I uploaded the boot shape which you can download and use to piece the shapes on top of (basically the tan you see showing through is the boot shape that you appliqué onto). Also the bottom is marked as "brown" rather than black. It looks pretty black in the pic but it is brown in real life so that is apparently with I went with when drawing the pattern out. So sorry for the confusion and thanks again for the heads up :)

  2. I love this stocking and look forward to making a few for Christmas, but I noticed not all the parts are on the pattern page. The only tan piece is the tab at the top and there are two other tan pieces on the stocking, and there is no black piece for the heel.
