All 50 States Free SVG Files ⋆ Dream a Little Bigger

The other day I got an email from a reader that was having trouble downloading the free 50 states SVG files I’ve offered since 2013. Realizing that was an ENTIRE DECADE AGO I decided to take a look at the process to get the files and then the files themselves. And there was a bit lacking. Actually, at first they weren’t even SVG Files, They were Silhouette Cut Files.

Back in 2016 I got a Cricut and Realized That Was a Problem.

These days I’m Team Cricut! And realizing that everybody has their personal preference I decided to turn the Silhouette cut files into SVG files that can be used with any cutting machine. And, by the by, even if you prefer a different cutting machine to me, we can still be friends :)

So today, 10 whole years after first publishing these free state files I’m resharing them. Included in a ZIP file you’ll find all 50 states as individual SVG Files. But new this year, you’ll also get all 50 states together in one SVG file so that all of the states are already to scale. So if you want to cut all 50 states (say for a cool USA quilt over at Flamingo Toes) and you need the states to already be the right size, you’ll get that this year!

US Map Quilt Tutorial

Interested in that quilt I talked about? Over at Flamingo Toes you will find this gorgeous US Map Quilt. It is easy to sew up and comes with a free printable pattern you can cut by hand. Or you can use your new state SVG files to cut with a machine! (I’m a sucker for a crafty shortcut!)

State Map Appliqué Quilt

Okay, so this one is way too big to cut with your cutting machine but it’s so cool! And you can take your free SVG to a printing place (like Staples) and ask them to print a large blueprint for just a few bucks to act as a pattern for your quilted state. Hand Embroidered State

Rather than cut your SVG Files, you can print them, too! And I just LOVE this embroidery project using whatever state you’d like to capture in thread! This project is perfect for beginners. And, honestly, I always need a good project to practice my satin stitch!
