Ingredients

  • Donut Ingredients
  • 3 cups of gluten free baking flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 15-ounce can of pumpkin puree
  • ¾ cup of brown sugar
  • cup of canola oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3-4 tablespoons of milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Whisk together dry donut ingredients in a large bowl.
  • In a medium-sized bowl whisk pumpkin puree, brown sugar, oil, butter, vanilla extract and egg until well mixed. Pour into dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fill a large piping bag with a large nozzle with batter. Pipe into donut pans greased with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until done. To check for doneness, gently press donut. It should spring back.
  • Cool in pan for 5 minutes then remove and place on a wire rack until completely cooled.
  • Combine glaze ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, whisking until smooth. Dip donuts into the glaze and return to the wire rack. Allow the glaze to set.
