When the holidays come rolling around or company is coming over I get all weird. Like, really weird. Cleaning under the refrigerator maniacally kind of weird. My mother always kept us in a clean house as a kid, as did my Mimmie. And when company came over the house became uber clean. It’s like my Mimmie always told me when doling out my next chore. “You may have next to nothing some day but remember clean is practically free.”
And since I have cats I also worry about smells in my house. You know, cat smells. They don’t smell good. And while I am always informed that the house smells nicely, that’s just because I put effort into it. It’s one thing to keep the house clean and the litter box clean and all of that but you still want your house to smell good and inviting. Come this time of year my favorite scent is pine something or another. Any other time of the year I’ll have none of it, but when it starts getting cold it’s what I instinctively toss into my wax warmers. Nothing says winter like pine scent.
So when I heard about Thymes Frasier Fir scent I was interested. When I realized how vast their product line for the scent was I was a bit more intrigued. Not only did they have the usual suspects to make your home smell nice like candles and warming wax and air fresheners, but they also had dishwashing soap and multipurpose cleaner and hand soap and lotion. For real. Dishwashing soap. That is hardcore make your house smell amazing.
I got an absolute ton of stuff from Thymes. Not going to lie, none of it is cheap and that kind of put me off. At first. But when my packages arrived, they were beautifully packaged and I instantly thought it would make such an amazing gift! I dug through my goodies and grabbed that multi-purpose cleaner ready to get after it. Because that is one of the things I do and do well. Clean.
Not gonna lie again. I totally cleaned my bathroom before I took any of these pictures. Was my bathroom grody? Nope. But I wasn’t putting dirty bathroom pics on the internet either. Just so you know…
That up there is my Thymes Frasier Fir cleaner. It’s in a really nice looking bottle that you wouldn’t mind getting caught left out on the counter because it’s, well, kind of pretty for cleaner. It costs a good 4 times what I normally pay for my cleaner and I’m not into math so I can’t really tell you the difference in price per ounce but I must admit that I had one eyebrow cocked up, already cynical and ready to be disappointed.
That very first spray I quite literally said “oh, my freaking word”. That is exactly what came out of my mouth. Because the smell was amazing. It was perfect and fresh and smelled real. Not like some chemically clean or created scents but like my bathroom was moved into the woods. It. Is. Amazing. I. Love. This. Cleaner.
So I cleaned just my little bathroom and walked back to my office to work. And even without burning any candles or opening up my reed/oil diffuser the smell came wafting through my bedroom and into my office and it was lovely. I must have said OMG a million times.
I also got a pretty little Thymes bathroom set with hand soap and lotion in it. I totally didn’t even see that cute stand at first and tossed the package onto the tile to hear a clink sound. Luckily it didn’t break because look at how cute that little faux wood ceramic is! And it smells exactly the same. I thought it would be weird having my hands smell the same way as my bathroom but it really wasn’t. I have sensitive skin, too, so I figured it might not work very well for me but this is some primo stuff y’all. Really good. I love it. If we had smell-o-vision computers I would totally share a whiff but you’re just going to have to take my word for it!
To be honest I can keep on waxing poetic about my Thymes goodies but I’m not going to. I’m just going to sum it up here. It smells wonderful. It looks pretty. It costs more than what you might be used to paying but it is worth it. The end! Head on over and check out the goodies they have, and if you’re not into pine scented they also have a gingerbread scent I’ve heard good things about or totally not seasonal scents you can use year round, too.
