The Free Fonts Project

Download 5 free and cute handwritten fonts - 2 are by kids!

A while back ago my bloggy buddy, Lauren from The Thinking Closet shared a very neat online tool. You print this form out, scan it in and upload it and voila! You have your very own font that is perfect for blog signatures, word documents or graphic design. Want to learn how to make your own? Check it out!

I didn’t even technically finish reading the post before I was printing out the forms to get after it. I. Was. So. Stoked. I’d been seeing posts on how to make your own fonts with an iPad and even started hinting around that I really wanted one because I really wanted to make fonts. But then Lauren uncovers this fantastic thing and all of the sudden, it seems so silly that I wanted an expensive piece of tech for something I can do online for FREE!

I made my own font and named it AuntieA and started printing forms to get a lockdown on the handwriting of others. Simply stated, I LOVE handwritten fonts. So today I’m sharing the first five I worked out. Each font is named by the writer’s nickname! Click the pic to download each font you’re interested in. (and you read right the first time, all of these are FREE fonts!)

All of these fonts are totally free for personal or commercial use. If you use them, I’d love to see the finished product!

And don’t forget…  you can learn how to make your very won handwritten font over at The Thinking Closet!

I like this post. I recently found this site that only has commercial fonts and lets you download them for free – just wanted to share it with you.

I love that site! I've been using my own font as a watermark for a while now! Coincidentally, my font actually looks fairly similar to yours!

How funny, Claire :) I think mine looks like my real handwriting, but kind of doesn't. Cannot quite put my finger on it!

I heart this post SO much! Thanks for the link love, too, my friend. You're too sweet! And how fun that you got others to join in on the handwritten font action, too. (Though I have to say, Auntie A is my favorite.) Nice work!

I heart that you taught me all about this fantastic online source :) I know I'm getting on everyone's nerves asking them to fill out these forms, but when they see their own font they think it's pretty cool!!!
