Whip up a few super easy DIY dresses and revitalize your wardrobe with some fabulous Spring style!
Raid your closet, sift through your stash and let’s get makin’!
Grab a couple of shirts and a couple of skirts. (elastic waist skirts are best however this tutorial is easily adapted to just about any top & skirt combination)
Remove any excess silliness from the top if desired. (This blouse had a bizarre faux button placket and annoying elastic hem)
Pop the skirt over top of the shirt (or vise versa) with right sides facing and the waistband lined up with the shirt hem.
Sew together with a tight zigzag stitch.
Zigzag over the outside seam for extra strength.
Style it up and head out in your fancy new dress!
To create my second Springtime frock I simply chopped off the shirred hem of the blouse and repeated the steps above!
Don’tcha just love a good pattern mix?!
