Burlap wrapped candles and fresh fruit and nuts make a simple yet stunning fall centerpiece.

There is a time and a place for glitz and glitter. And I decided that this Thanksgiving centerpiece just didn’t need it. I wanted to do something simple using things I have around the house already. Because it’s great to be a craft blogger and to be able to go shopping at the craft store every week, but I felt like I should be thankful for the things I have and use them.

So instead of buying something to turn into a fancy tray, I pulled something off of my dresser instead. And rather than glitter up this that or the other thing, I pulled some pillar candles out of my linen closet that I’ve never even opened let alone use. I did purchase some fruit and nuts simply because I had pretty well run out but they’ll get eaten so I think that hardly counts! It was interesting to sort through pomegranates with a nice older gentleman who was helping me pick out the prettiest ones for the best pictures. Such a nice man! He didn’t even ask why he just got to helping me :)
