So Earth Day has come and gone now but I’ve still got a great way to celebrate a little bit belatedly. Looking to bring a little bit of the outside in I started perusing indoor plants whenever I found myself with an odd few minutes on my hands. And though I’ve had problems in the past with cats and house plants, I thought, why the heck not?
So I grabbed a couple that I really liked and then headed to the home decor department for two simple glass vases to finish up my plan for some super simple DIY terrariums.
In the end, I was super stoked with little mini habitats and am proud to say that even weeks later they’re doing well. Except for the one in the tall and skinny vase. Max has decided he hates that one and has been ripping leaves off of it. The only place I can keep it from him doesn’t have the correct lighting so things aren’t working for that poor guy.
But, I have it on good authority if you have a similar problem as me, buy plants that are furry to keep animals from eating or destroying them with their mouths. Apparently the fuzzy feels weird so they abstain… which white be my little purple fella’ up there is doing super great!
