Refashioning 101: Quick & Easy Cover-Ups
Tacky, nonsensical mass produced prints are one of my biggest pet peeves. Unimaginative graphics and ridiculous brand logos are a sure fire way to ruin even the most froufroushishi garment, amiright?
Check out a few of my fave refashionista fixes for those silly prints with my Refashioning 101: Quick & Easy Cover-Ups and create some truly unique personalized gear!
Snag your printed garment, a fabric doily or a piece of funky scrap large enough to cover the print and an embroidery needle and thread.
Lightly sketch out your design on the fabric (As I’m an embroidery novice I simply went with my initial).
Using your sketch as a guide, embroider your design using a simple split stitch.
Pin your groovy personalized patch over the silly print.
Stitch the patch in place and your fab new personalized garment is complete!
