*T-shirts are one of the absolute best no sew refashioning ingredients. T-shirt fabric (a.k.a jersey) doesn’t fray when you cut it up so there is no need to hem or stitch the raw edges, hooray!
Snag a t-shirt and a coordinating length of jersey fabric. (I chopped a strip from an old bedsheet)
Cut the bottom hem off of the t-shirt and give the edge a bit of a stretch so it curls back onto itself.
Chop off the sleeve hems and stretch to curl the edges.
Slice off that collar and stretch the neckline a bit as well.
Chop a small slit through both the front and back fabric of the t-shirt just below the shoulder seams near the neckline on both sides.
Feed your length of jersey through the slits and go rock your fab scarf embellished tee!
Awesome, eh? There are loads of ways to tuck and wrap that length of jersey (or even a fancy scarf!), experiment and create your own unique style!
It will always stay in place thanks to those nearly invisible slits!
