My Occasional Heels + Amopé Comfort
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Amopé™. The opinions and text are all mine.
I have run the gamut when it comes to my opinion on high heels. When I was younger I was so excited when I graduated to heel tap shoes. They made me feel so mature when I’d tap, tap, tap my way across the wood floors of the classroom. When I got my first job, they made me feel professional. And when I had been a working girl for a while they made me feel frustrated.
You see, I had to deal with a dress code where heels were required every. single. day. Now I don’t know about you but when I’m told to do something, I suddenly don’t care for it much, anymore. Since my job required literally running around town by the end of the week my feet were killing me. The first day that nonsense was removed and employees were allowed to wear flats for the first time, I don’t think there was a single pair of heels in the office! :)
These days I can honestly say that I only have a single pair of high heels and they are meant for art shows and funerals or anytime I need to “dress up.” I mean, I work from home and I’m self-employed and believe me when I say there is absolutely NO dress code up in here!
Since I don’t wear heels so often I don’t have the awful strain I used to experience constantly but I do seem to have a more difficult time being comfortable in them (being out of practice.) When I heard about Amopé Gel Activ™ Everyday Heels it seemed like these just might be the type of thing to help me out with my situation.
So I headed out to Target to grab a pair to toss into my boring, black but totally functional funeral heels. Like I said before, I grabbed the Amopé Gel Activ Everyday Heels, but there are also three other products depending on the shoes you need to make comfortable. Are you sassy? Maybe you should grab a pair of Amopé Gel Activ Extreme Heel. Are you all about comfort? Check out Amopé Gel Activ Flat Shoes. Spend good money on pedicures? You know you need to grab some Amopé Gel Activ Open Shoes. Oh, and to save some cash on your new insoles check out this Cartwheel coupon good until 9/24/2016.
Before I went to buy my insoles I wasn’t really sure what they were. In truth I’ve only used a pair of insoles in junior high when I managed to get athlete’s foot and my shoes were getting funky. I didn’t even buy those. They magically appeared to help clear out the funk one day :). Apparently, I didn’t know where in the heck to go so I wound up making the rounds at Target, like you do, and I’m not going to complain about that AT ALL. Target is awesome. But if you need to get it and get going you can find Amopé Gel Activ insoles in the “foot care” area of the pharmacy. They’re not in shoes. They’re not in accessories.
Basically these guys are squishy little pieces of awesomeness that are sticky on the bottom and that means they aren’t going to get away from you and slide all over the place, which, let’s be honest I was a bit worried about. They slide right into your favorite shoes, making them more comfortable and staying that way because they stay put! AND even though I’ve only got the single pair, should I up and decide to start dressing up more often I can take them out of these shoes and put them in another pair because they don’t lose their tack. I really dig that I won’t have to keep buying new sets.
Oh, and these suckers are thin. Like 25% thinner than other insoles so they fit in even my narrow shoes with no problem and they don’t make my toes all crowded. But my favorite thing about these insoles? The arch support. I even buy socks with arch support because I really need it. These insoles have these little humps that PERFECTLY fit right into my arch. I mean, that alone is worth running out and buying a pair (and don’t forget to save 5% using this Cartwheel coupon through 9/24!)
