You know, it’s really amazing how similar and different two sisters can be at the same time. Me, I love the look of vintage tattoos, but I have never wanted and will never get a tattoo. I change my mind way too frequently to even consider it! My sister, on the other hand, is crazy for tattoos. She reads tattoo magazines and has multiple tattoos all over her business. In fact, when we were younger, she called and asked for a recommendation on her newest tat. I said “None”. She came very, very close to having a NUN tattooed on herself just to be punny. :)
So, I’ve been wanting to do the iconic Mother tattoo in a kind of lomo way on something for her for a while, now. Today I knocked out a stencil and for Mother’s Day, so she’ll be getting a snazzy, custom made, almost professional looking tee.
Want to make one, too? Or would you like the image to embroider on tea towels or another gift? Download the free pattern below!
The four page PDF contains: Page 1&2 – the left and right side to make a 12 inch stencil (overlap and tape the two together to make the pattern), Page 3 – “Mother” in a fun tattoo font, Page 4 – a smaller embroidery sized pattern
