March 23, 2014Allison Murray

I’m making plarn! What in the world is plarn? It’s plastic yarn and it can be made into great produce, shopping or beach bags among other things. Let’s get after the quickie tutorial then, shall we?

Fold in half three times and trim off the two ends and put away to recycle. Trim the center into 1 inch strips. These will be our yarn pieces.

I was crocheting these plastic bags before I ever heard of his craft site. I use bags from everywhere. I have many colors and do more than granny squares.
