So what’s going down in Dream a Little Bigger Town? Not much, but one exciting thing did happen…
Melyssa at The Nectar Collective (seriously one of my favorite blogs!) interviewed me for her new series “Be Your Own Boss” all about getting into self employment. Now I get emails weekly from lovely readers such as yourself wondering how I manage to be my own boss, so you might be interested in checking this out. I LOVE being self employed and it is a perfect fit for my personality and my life, but it can be hard and there are downsides to it. I try to share the good and the bad and lay it out on the line for your consideration. So, check it out!
And keep an eye on Miss Melyssa – she’s so postive and wonderful and I love her! She’ll be sharing more interviews in this series, too, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to go solo!
Now let’s get into the Link Party! First, the favorites…
Let’s see what our lovely co-host, Liz from Queen Lila chose as her favorite:
My first time co-hosting a link party was so much fun thanks to Allison and all of you guys! It was so hard choosing a favorite project! But, I have to choose, so my favorite is Lauren’s perler bead earrings!
I love how easy and quick this project is but nevertheless packs a massive graphic punch. I can’t wait to try this out and see what cool designs I can come up with. Thanks again to everyone who linked up and to Allison for letting me co-host!

My favorite this week comes from Brianna at Craft Thyme! Her spooky vignette is the perfect complement to a more sophisticated Halloween theme. In fact, I’m totally stealing her phrase for describing it “sophisticated macabre”. To see more pics (which are great quality images by the way!) head on over to Craft Thyme.

Thanks so much to Miss Liz from Queen Lila for co-hosting. We will be having her back in the future :)
Moving onto the new link party, this week I have a lovely co-host that I’m so excited to introduce to you, Melissa from Two It Yourself. I’ll let her introduce herself!
Hi! I’m Melissa – the co-founder and creator of Two It Yourself. I’m a SAHM mom to a 5 and 2 year old by day and a DIYer and freelance writer by naptime. I was born and raised in Delaware, where my high school senior prom date-turned husband and I have finally made it back to after 10 years, six states, and nine moves. I love keeping busy and updating our home with all kinds of DIY projects, furniture restoration, crafts, home decorating, and sewing projects.
Yay! Doesn’t Melissa sound fun (and resilient… 9 moves in 10 years, heavens to Betsy). Melissa and I will be back again next week to share our favorites so be sure to come back and see if you were selected! And thanks to every one of you who links up and all of the new linkers out there!

The RULES – because I said so:
- Link anything you made yourself but nothing that is available for sale. (you don’t have to have a blog or site just leave that bit empty or link up your Facebook profile, etc.)
- Link back to Dream a Little Bigger to be considered for next week’s feature roundup! (you can grab that awesome button up there – hubba hubba!)
- Click through one or two of your favorite links and leave some comment love!
- Entries are randomly placed so that everyone gets top billing. I HATE when I get to a party late and my links get stuck somewhere in the middle! Well, that’s not gonna happen here, folks!

Thanks for the feature! Even though this is still a ‘young’ linky I love the fact that it randomizes your place. Looking forward to many more links in the future. Thank you for hosting!
I’m glad about the randomizing. I wasn’t sure how others would feel about that, but I think it’s good and I think it’s right so we’ll roll with it, but I’m very glad that you like it, too! and you are so welcome for the feature. I love your vignette!
