First up, some news! I participated in the August Package Pals over at C.R.A.F.T for the second time! The first go I met the sweetest blogger, Alice from Whisketeers. It was exciting because I found her blog which I love and I get to see her pretty pictures on Instagram and all of that. Since meeting Alice was such a great experience I just had to sign up for August.
So who was my Package Pal this go? Valerie who blogs over at Occasionally Crafty with her sister. She loves all things seasonal decor. Like big time love. All capital letters LOVES decorating for the holidays! So what did I pack up and send across the country to her? Well, upon learning that she has no craft stash to speak of, I decided to help her build one with the colors of fall!
Since it wouldn’t be a crafty thing if I didn’t make something myself, I made a necklace using the floating bead technique I shared a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to make something with fall colors so I went with the cracked glass beads in a pretty yellow brown. To give the whole thing a little bit of pop I added some turquoise colored bead, too!
And then I raided craft stores for some perfectly autumnal things Valerie could turn into something great! In her package I shared some fall burlap ribbon, fall colored leaves, prettily colored corn and a yard of reclaimed burlap. Oh, and of course, the necklace!
And one other nifty bit of news. I’m being featured today at Mom Spark, where I contribute as the crafts blogger, in Desiree’s Interview with a Blogger series! So if you’re interested in learning a little bit about me, head on over to read my interview. And thanks so much to Miss Desiree for thinking I’m interesting enough to spotlight :)
Now, let’s get this link party started! First my favorite from last week!
This week’s favorite is being featured for one simple reason… How amazingly interesting. Now I did a quick search, and there are other recipes for Green Tomato Cake – but I’d never heard of it. A part of me is a little weirded out, but most of me really wants to give this a go! Alas, I won’t because the recipe does contain gluten, but most of you could bake one up and tell me how you like it! This recipe comes from Jess, also known as Plucky from Plucky’s Second Thought. Jess prides herself in creating and blogging doable recipes and crafts. Stop by and check this fantastic lady out!
Follow Plucky’s Second Thought on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Bloglovin’,

And that brings us up to date and ready for this week’s link party, thanks so much to all of you who are linking up. I adore every one of you and your fantastic projects and hope to feature you very soon!
The RULES – because a world without rules is chaos:
- Link anything you made yourself but nothing that is available for sale. (you don’t have to have a blog or site just leave that bit empty or link up your Facebook profile, etc.)
- Link back to Dream a Little Bigger to be considered for next week’s feature roundup! (you can grab that awesome button up there – hubba hubba!)
- Click through one or two of your favorite links and leave some comment love!
- Entries are randomly placed so that everyone gets top billing. I HATE when I get to a party late and my links get stuck somewhere in the middle! Well, that’s not gonna happen here, folks!
