There was a time when I did not wear shorts. Like, ever. It was just a few years back and I remember when I went in and got my first pair in many, many years. And it felt wrong. But I had had enough of taking my little nephews to the zoo and having the youngest grab at me to pick him up and my dress coming up along with him. I don’t know how many times the alligators got a good view of my panties but the kid always wanted to be picked up so he could see them better.
Yep, I’d pick that kiddo up and he’d do something where he’d try to wrap his legs around me the second I touched him and just like an umbrella opening the skirt of my dress would try to come up around belly button.
I even remember that first trip wearing shorts and a tank top. I kept thinking I was walking funny. I kept looking around like, does anyone see how stupid I look in these shorts?
But today I love them. Tons and tons and tons. They’re cool and comfy (if you buy the right ones) and they can fit into any type of style. I’m rocking the preppy gal style right now and my colorful cotton chino shorts are amazing. But I wanted to add a little something to a pair and see how things went down. In the end I busted out iLoveToCreate’s new product Color Shot. It’s basically fabric spray paint and it works really, really well. So head on over to iLTC to check out my recent DIY tutorial, Colorshot Lace Shorts.
