Glitter Tape Notebook

August 30, 2014RaChil Luke

Hey crafty people! Its RaChil from The Cwafty Blog here with a bonus tutorial for the end of the month!

Did you or someone-you-know-who-loves-glitter go back to school recently? If so, I can totally relate. I am a glitter addict and I started my second year of college 2 weeks ago. In preparing for going back I followed a tradition I have held through many years and decorated some of my school supplies. Today I am going to show you a Notebook refashion I did with a few simple craft supplies.

  • Glitter Tape
  • Scissors
  • Blank Notebook
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brush
  • Complimentary Colored Loose glitter
The star of this tutorial is the tape I found in the scrap booking section.

Step 1: Place a strip of tape at the very bottom of your notebook. Trim the edges to fit the cover of your notebook.

Continue until your whole notebook is covered except for the very last section. We’re gonna make that one pop a little.

Step 2: Use your foam brush to apply a layer of Mod Podge to your blank row. Sprinkle on your glitter. Let it dry for about 15 minutes.

Step 3: Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the whole notebook. Pay special attention to the glitter tape edges, we want them to be super duper secure. When that dries, your notebook is good to go!

There you have it, a cheap and cute way to personalize some of your notebooks. Seeing as everything  but the notebook and tape were in my crafty stash and I got both the notebooks and the tape on sale this project only cost me about $2-3 at the most.
