Glitter Christmas Bulb

December 19, 2015RaChil Luke

Woohoo I am free everybody! I finished my last final on Thursday. Its been a rough semester so this winter break is all about crafting and relaxing. I’ve got two more tutorials coming on here to finish out the year. And I plan on relaunching my site with a new name and design by the new year! Its going to be a very very busy 3 weeks, but I’m looking forward to it. This Christmas season I’ve been obsessed with Christmas lights’ bulbs. The shape is just so pleasing to me.
Today we’re going to be making a glitter swirled ornament bulb. It’s pretty easy but with the length of drying time you should have just enough time to make a few before Christmas.

Step 3: Pour a little of the Mod Podge glitter mixture into your bulb. Swirl and turn your bulb until the glitter covers a good amount. I was using three colors so I covered about a third. Wait to dry before adding your next color.

You can speed up the drying process with a hair dryer but it still takes about 30 to 40 minutes. That’s a long time to sit there with a hair dryer trying to dry a little bulb.

Finish adding colors and wait to dry between layers. Attach the top of the bulb again when done so you can hang it on your tree!
