Hello! Its RaChil from The Cwafty Blog here again and this week we’re gonna get a little funky…

By refashioning this awesome metal leaf lamp I found at goodwill for $2. Its such an interesting shape and I love the bare-bones outline of a lamp coupled with the falling leaves motif. Its clearly an autumn lamp which is why I went with orange and red for the new colors. If you want to see how to funk-ify a lamp of your own, check out how I refashioned mine below!

 Supplies:

  • Lamp Base
  • Lamp Shade
  • Spray Paint
  • XL Glue Dots
  • Glitter
  • Mod Podge

Step 1: Place your glue dots around your lampshade. I did staggered rows but you can do any pattern you want!

Step 2: Glitter your dots! Tap off the excess glitter and do it over a sheet of paper or a surface you can easily collect/clean the glitter from.

Just to make sure your glitter stays where its supposed to, add a layer of mod-podge to your dots. Part one done!

Step 3: Give your lamp a new lease on life with a few coats of a bright spray paint.

Put it all together and you have a bright new lamp for your living room!

As with every good refashion, you need a before and after shot.

Ok, so maybe for most adults this would be considered a bit loud for the living room, but I bet your kids/eccentric sister might like it!

In my opinion the lamp went from totally drab to fantastically fab and I love it! It fits right in with my geometric glitter pillow, blue corduroy couches, and wall of batman art.

Til Next Time!
