Looking for a fun craft to keep the kids busy and out of your hair come Thanksgiving? What about these simple, cute and inexpensive felt turkey glove puppets?
My craft room is insane. Absolutely, totally and terrifyingly chock full of junk. Needing to get all of my Halloween stuff out of the way to make room for new projects, I dug into my big, blue totes. Now these things are functional because the hold things but I hate, and I do mean HATE getting into them. If you need to get in the very bottom one (which I did) you have to move five heavy tubs to get to it. And of course, somehow, the one you need is always at the bottom.
So I did what any normal person would do. I left things until my craft room got so bad that there was just a little path from the door to my desk. I realized after a couple dozen stubbed toes that this just wasn’t going to work. While digging in my box I decided to see what craftiness I left behind last year…
I found a bunch of the same things I just purchased from the craft store (of course I would.) I also found this turkey glove I made a few years ago as a template for a Thanksgiving craft to do with my nephews and I just knew that I had to share it with you today.
So this is how things went down. I started cleaning my room only to find this puppet this very morning and here I am typing up a post for it. If you didn’t think I had ADD before, you sure know it now!
I hope you and yours enjoy this super easy craft and I love thinking that this simple turkey glove puppet will be keeping your little ones busy and out of your hair come “Turkey Day”!
