When I was in high school, a long, long time ago, back in the days of Nirvana and hemp chokers the big thing here in Oklahoma was fabric flip flops. We’d have a gazillion pairs in as many colors. Everyone wore them. Girls, their mothers and even their grandmothers would rock the fabric flip flops all over town.
And then one day, they weren’t anymore. It’s almost like it was a collective decision to toss tens of pairs of flip flops that we had created ourselves with a pair of pinking shears and hand selected farbric.
Just the other day I decided that I’m going to try and bring these fun fabric flippers back! I even divulged this information to the lady at the fabric counter in my local Hobby Lobby. Did she say I was crazy? No. She just said I should get some more fabric to start making bowls and that if I did I would be stinking rich. I like that chick.
