My Not So Fancy Cats Deserve Fancy Feast!

July 31, 2014Allison Murray

My cats are my world and they deserve the best. So thanks to Fancy Feast® Broths for including the five of us in this sponsored post program!

My cats may not have pedigrees or papers, but they love fancy feast despite the fact that they aren't fancy themselves!

So you probably know all about my four fabulous felines. If you don’t you can get acquainted with Max, Marla, Gracie and Liddy here. Other people have kids or collections of things to take care of and love on. I have my cats. I am completely content with that.

Others have family albums full of pics of their children growing up. I have the same for my four kitties. I documented the first time my Marla encountered a toad and the first time I walked my Gracie on a leash… I hope you enjoy the pics that accompany this post today and be sure to give me a shout out about which one is your fave :)

I’m sure that you, like me, had seen the commercials for Fancy Feast® Broths on TV and if you’re a cat lover like me you might have instantly taken notice. It may be completely dorky, but whenever I see something “new” on the television for cats, I’ll always sit up and notice. Because I figure this… my cats give me so much joy and so much happiness just by virtue of being them and being around but their world is pretty darn small.

And speaking of TV… watch this!

In fact, their world is right at 1200 square feet. They very rarely get to venture outside because it’s just too dangerous where I live (and to be honest now that they are all at least several years old I think they’d just freeze like a deer in headlights for cars or mean animals or whatever). And sometimes I feel badly that some of my favorite creatures alive have so little they can do.

My cat craft assistant a.k.a Maxamilion VonFuzzybottom inspecting thread quality and overseeing my efforts to thread the bobbin.

Which is why I stuff a cat toy box full of toys they can play with and amuse themselves with (yes, I really do have a cat toy box in my living room), spend countless hours waving around feather fascinators or laser lights even when my arms get tired and doing my best to provide them the tastiest food that I can.

Their main diet is dry food but they do get wet food every single day as a special treat. If they do something new my kitties always get to give it a test drive. If the plate is clean, we have a WINNER because, to be honest, more often than not they’ll lick away the gravy and leave the meat behind for me to toss out.

Marla’s first encounter with a toad. The toad became a regular named Big Bertha.

And since my kitties are such big fans of gravy, Fancy Feast® Broths sounded just perfect for them. So one night they each go their very own bowl of the good stuff to try out and it was quickly decided that these nifty little pouches would be in the nightly dinner rotation. My gravy loving kitties soaked up that broth first and foremost and then ate every single morsel left behind. Even my pickiest eater, Miss Liddy decimated her little pink supper bowl!

I liked that the food looked like food. And if you own pets you know what I mean. You bust open a can that looks like a gourmet meal on the front only to be presented with a pile of mystery meat that plops grossly into furry’s dinner dish. In  Fancy Feast® Broths you can see chunks of meat and pieces of veggie and they actually smell pretty darn tasty (not that I tried :)

Yes. I totally brought in a bowl so that my indoor cats could enjoy the first snow of the season! In my living room.

I also loved the little pouches because there was no digging out the can opener to open or busting out a spoon to remove the food stuck inside of the can. It was clean and simple and the cats were fed in record time. Plus since they basically cleaned their plates for me the after dinner ritual was painless as well!Tracking Pixel

If you have your own kitty I can’t recommend  Fancy Feast® Broths  enough. They come in 8 tasty looking flavors that feature Creamy or Silky broths that 4 out of 4 cats in this household love!

Oh, and while I happen to have you here, maybe you’d like to win 10 free pouches and a $50 American Express Gift Card? Enter below!

Our cat is our child. :). We refer to him as The Prince, (in addition to Super Buffalo Bear, Biggy Bigster, Mama’s Pride ‘N Joy, etc.), and no cat food is too good for him. I’m on my way to pick up some Fancy Feast now…

Oops! And my favorite thing about him is how very much he loves his mom! Wherever I am, that’s where he is too!
