It’s amazing how packing things up can make you realize just how much junk you have. And how much space you don’t have. It really surprised me because I’m the total opposite of a pack rat. I give things away like crazy. And oftentimes I have to buy the same thing over again. It’s a flawed system but it ensures I can find what I need in my closet at all times.
But when you start the process of moving, crap comes out of the woodwork. Things you don’t remember ever seeing let alone bringing into the house.
And in my recent purging and packing I’ve gotten rid of almost all of my seasonal decorations. Now some of them made their way to Goodwill but others are just packed up and ready for a new home to adorn. But since it is my job to get crafty, well, it was time to make a new wreath. But this time I had something new in mind.
What about those who don’t have room for tons of wreaths? Could I make something slim and easy to store (without it getting jacked up easily) that could double duty for multiple holidays? In the end I came up with the fella’ you see up there. Maroon and gold and fabulous for Autumn into Christmas. Heck, it might even be able to come out and play come Valentine’s Day, too.
