So I totally made this sign template AGES ago. Like 2014. That’s the year my life got flipped-turned upside down to quote DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. I was getting my house on the market, travelling like crazy and living all over the places hopping from one place to another, and experiencing what was to be one of my busier years for blogging work. Before things went pear shaped and changed (for the better I should add) I planned on having a humongo yard sale. At the sale a few years before I brought in several hundred dollars, close to $600 if mind serves me correctly. But I never got around to that garage sale.
And now here Rob and I are in our new home and we have a garage FULL of stuff. There are 3 sofas, at least 4-5 tables and 2 lawnmowers in spite of the fact that we have a gardener. Plus I have a bazillion boxes of craft supplies that I had intended to sell online and then ship out but that never happened, either. Since with sick puppies (Ollie bitten by a snake or spider and Carly going through testing for potential kidney disease) my health insurance kind of sucking this year and totally random junk happening (like my freaking 1 year old windshield is cracked and needs to be fixed) the finances are a bit tight.
Garage sale money would be awesome and can help us do something important like visiting our families this summer and helping with the costs that we incur there. It may sound crazy but a trip to Southern Oklahoma for a week costs us around $1400! Holy cow!
So I busted out this file I made in 2014 and we’re getting the ball rolling for us to have a big old fashioned garage sale, yard sale or rummage sale – whatever you might call it! Now you might notice that I don’t live at 124 Conch Street with Spongebob or 742 Evergreen Terrace with Bart Simpson and family. With as funny as the internet gets we decided to NOT use or real address :)
All you need to do is download the free yard sale PDF files below that you need:
Open in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat and you can type in your information on the address line on the bottom and the permit number beneath the word “sale” if a permit number is required in your area.
These signs are great for a very simple reason… they are clean and super easy to read and see what’s going on. There are THREE directional arrows in each PDF for ahead, left and right so that you can easily direct traffic right to your sale. When printed on Astrobright neon paper and attached to a wood stake these guys are literally going to flood your sale with traffic and I can totally attest to that. I’ve used this exact layout before when I lived out in the sticks and had to do a really good job of directing traffic to see any visitors.
If it’s rainy in your neck of the woods, or if you have lots of sales you can actually laminate these guys and use them over and over and over again (I also did that!)
Happy printing and good luck on your next sale. I hope lots of people put your junk in their trunk!
