Easter Eggs That Will Never Get Stinky! at Mom Spark

Your home is your castle, right? And what you never, ever want pervading your castle is rotten egg smell. But there’s no telling just how many of you fine people out there are going to experience such a thing a few days to weeks after Easter has come and gone.

This happened to my grandparents in Ohio and it has become a family legend. My Texas family also had a similar incident but it happened outside of my Mimmie’s house… My aunt didn’t realize that the Easter eggs should be boiled prior to dyeing (she was probably 18-20 at the time) and when it got warm the garden would stink. It is pretty darn surprising the amount of stink that can occur in an open area!

So, since I’m not the biggest fan of the plastic eggs and sometimes real Easter eggs just aren’t the ticket, I made some really fun egg pouches out of felt. A  little slit in the back even allows you to fill them with fantastic goodies! Check out the tutorial and free pattern over at Mom Spark!

Allison! I love you and your blog- I'm going to need a whole day(or more) to cruise through your posts and catch up on what I've been missing in your corner of the universe. I found you from your sweet feature on sugar bee crafts and I'm glad it gave me a chance to get to know what you do. Diggin it girl :)
