Death Star Ring

I am so late for May the 4th be with you, I know. I was swamped with exams at the time, but now that I’m out of school I finally had time to whip up a DIY in honor of one of my favorite Sci-fi series’!

  • Silver Sculpey
  • Ring Blank
  • Bake n’ Bond Sculpey Glue
  • Fine black marker
  • Mod Podge
  • X-acto Knife

Step 1: Roll your sculpey into a 1 in. ball. Cut in half.

Step 2: Use the backside of the blade to form an a line along the center of the hemisphere.

Use the edge of the blade to carve out a divot in one of your hemispheres. If you mess up, try with the other one. You can always roll everything back together and try again!

Once you’re done with the physical details, put some glue on your ring base and attach!

Step 3: Bake following the instructions on your package of clay! I baked mine for about 20 minutes.

Step 4: Once your ring has cooled, use your marker to draw some of the details of the Death Star on.

Seal with a coat of Mod Podge.

Til Next Time!
