Crafty Upcycled Jacket Flair

April 16, 2017Sheri Pavlović

Did you cover your jackets with loads of funky buttons and pins in the 90’s?

If so, you’re in luck because that crafty upcycled jacket flair trend from the past has returned and there’s no need to break the bank buying new brooches to adorn your coats! Simply DIY a bunch from bits you already have around the house!

Hunt through your kiddo’s tiny toys, sift through your stash and junk drawers and upcycle those cute bits and bobs into one of a kind jacket flair!

Grab your trusty glue gun (or all-purpose glue), the sweet bits and bobs your discovered and a few less than stellar buttons or crafty pin backs.

Decide which piece of flair fits best with each pin back or button and arrange accordingly.

Glue them all together. Quick tip: to avoid a huge glue-y mess use a pair of pliers to hold the pin backs when sticking tiny items to the front.

Create a whole bunch in minutes and add them to your jacket or bag for some uniquely fabulous flair!
