Cherry Fluffy Stuff Recipe
The way I speak isn’t exactly what anybody would call proper. I shove words out of my face so fast that I often skip a few here and there. For example, the word OF doesn’t have much of a place in my vocabulary, “get out the way!” And I make contractions of things that don’t technically work like “I don’t know” becomes “auknow”.
I am fluent speaking in cutesy having heard my mother speak it since I was born… To this day, just like when I was little, when my Momma whips the passengers in her car around, a fairly common occurrence then and now, she will call “hang on Lucies!” which means business is about to get real. Watch your heads, folks because that business HURTS when it bounces off of the side of your car window. Trust me, I should know :)
My dad says that my sister, my mom and I have our own language and my Sweet Rob agrees. He also agrees that he has started talking like me, rhymes and lilting lines that could almost be song lyrics pepper his speech and I think it’s pretty hilarious. Now he wanted me to change the name of this stuff to something with marshmallows and he doesn’t think “stuff” is terribly appetizing but he lost out because I’m the one with a blog!
Cherry Fluffy Stuff is just a Cool Whip type of sweet salad that is really common for potlucks and summer meals. You keep it refrigerated and it’s soft, fluffy and cool and the perfect thing on a hot day. Make up a batch and you can toss it into the ice chest and take it to the beach or the bbq grill at the local park. It will stay cool enough to be refreshing but won’t melt like ice cream would.

CHERRY FLUFFY STUFF SALAD RECIPE
You can play with the ratio of the “mix ins” with this recipe. Add more, or omit entirely, pecans and shredded coconut depending on your taste. Love marshmallows? Me, too! I sometimes use an entire bag of mini marshmallows when I want something really super sweet. But it’s like really, really sweet so keep that in mind if you tip in the whole bag!
- 21 ounces of cherry pie filling
- 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk
- 20 ounces of crushed pineapple
- 8 ounces of Cool Whip, thawed
- 1/2-1 cup of shredded coconut
- 1/2-1 cup of pecan chips
- 5 ounces of mini marshmallows (about half a bag)
- Mix pie filling, condensed milk and crushed pineapple until well incorporated.
- Fold in Cool Whip.
- Continue folding and add coconut, pecans and marshmallows.
- Cover and allow to set up in the refrigerator 2-3 hours prior to serving. Cherry Fluffy Stuff Salad typically will keep 1-2 weeks in the fridge.
