Guess what?!? I’m painting the accent wall in my living room, soon. I’m pretty darn excited because when I told Rob that I wanted a red viotlet type of color reminiscient of the Crayola crayon of hte same name he was totally down. Like not even an “erm?” or “maybe” but instead “you want to go grab some paint samples?” Um, yeah. Heck, yeah. I do.
So we went to town and ordered a bunch of little pots and got home, smeared them on the wall and, well, they all look pretty darn close to one another. Rob literally stood there and watched them dry and a time or two he’d call out a play by play for me as I sat in the office covering something in glitter, or whatever. Basically it always went like this “they’re still wet but they still look pretty much the same”.
And none of them were quite what we wanted. We want bright, colorful, happy! And we’re getting dark and sort of purple or maybe pink? but never a reddish purple we really want.
So today I was looking for a good picture to kind of mock up with colors when I found this one of an organizer I made over at iLoveToCreate last year, that now hangs out over at Aleenes.com and you know what I realized? I never shared it here.
And that’s a shame because I LOVE this thing. I USE this thing daily. It holds my sunglasses, the dog’s leashes, my sweater dujour, Rob’s mail after I’ve checked the box and our reusable shopping bags we never remember to take to the store. And it is obviously NOT due to proximity to the front door because they’re right freaking there, people, in my front door organizer.
At any rate I love this thing and I made it with my own 2 hands. And I made a tutorial so you can make one to. What are you waiting for? Go on and get it! –> Wooden Front Door Organizer Tutorial.
