I hate that we haven’t even completely unpacked yet, but here we are… Looking for the glitter paper mache pumpkin I rocked out last year I instead stumbled on some green foam gourds that I had tucked away in a packed up box for possible fall crafts. To be honest, I had figured that within a year I would have already gone through these things but life has a funny way of not letting you clean the garage :)
It is truly a disaster area out there and just thinking about it stresses me out. When I can work on it Rob can’t and we just haven’t been able to coordinate the time to get ‘er done. Being self employed most people think that I can do whatever whenever but that isn’t quite how things work. The self employed have deadlines, too :)
When I bought the little sacks of foam gourds I only saw ugly green back in the day but on this day I saw potential. “Change their color and glitter them up and they’ll be genius”, I thought. And so I brought them in to my office and then they sat there for ages and ages because I found I didn’t want to mess with them. Haha! Finally, a plan for these little guys and something inside of me was all, “that’s cool and all but I don’t wanna mess with that right now!”
But in the end I did mess with that and they came out pretty great. Want to see all the details to fancy up your own cheapie foam gourds, or pumpkins, for that matter? Head on over to Mom Spark for my most recent fall fabulosity – DIY Fall Glitter Gourds.
