So long 2020, hello 2021!!! Ready for the new year? Check out our free 2021 calendars that will help you stay organized and on track!
2019 wasn’t the greatest year for me and I had such high hopes for 2020. But we all know how that went down, don’t we? Settling into my new house at the beginning of the year in a new neighborhood I had so. much. hope. I was excited to meet new people around me. But when COVID suddenly nobody in the neighborhood had anything to do with anyone else. And it made sense. The cooking class and special dog training sessions I was going to take in the spring were cancelled. And I had the darndest time getting adjusted to wearing a mask in public without having a panic attack.
There were people getting sick and people dying and lots of confusion and anger in public that could make going to the store stressful. And every time I saw a new message on Facebook or in my email about somebody I haven known in my life who was either sick or, worse, no longer around it was sad. And scary.
Things kind of settled into this odd isolated life that we have all had to get used to.
For me, having pets really helps. And so it was so hard when my cat was put to sleep in my arms on Christmas Eve. Yesterday, my very last day of the cruddiest day of the year I decided that I wanted to start of 2021 right. I cleaned the daylights out of my house and was pleased to start the new year waking up in a bed with clean sheets. (Aren’t fresh sheets just one of the BEST little things in life?)
But as I woke up I realized I don’t have much of a plan for 2021.
With 2020 plans went out the window and I’ve gotten out of the habit a bit. But I’ve decided I’m going to start out 2021 the same way I started 2020. With hope. And so I put together 3 different 2021 calendars to keep me on track in the new year. And maybe I bought myself a shiny brass ruler at Target today that I swear will up my 2021 productivity :)
But back to those calendars… I updated last year’s At-a-Glance calendar. You can print it as a poster at 18″ x 24″ or smaller. And then I put together a 12 month calendar printable on regular letter paper at home. Each show the next and previous month, have an area for notes, and have a little quote I find inspiring. And last, but not least, I’ve got another letter-sized printable with all 12 months on one page so you can easily sneak a peek when you need to get a quick grasp on a day.

2020 sucked, but 2021 is going to be a better year, I can just feel it.
And I’ve decided that I’m going to be realistic but optimistic moving forward. Things aren’t going to instantly go from crap to okay but I’m going to hang onto my hope that it will eventually get better. Because it will get better for you and for me and for all of us. 2021 might still be a rough ride but at the very least we can finally shelve 2020. Happy New Year!
