You may have heard me, because I’m talking about it lots these days, but I’ve taken on a whole life makeover. My house is on the market, I’ve moved to another state and I’m trying to find a new place to take my pets to and start life over again. In the interim I’m at my parent’s house. It’s not bad because I’m just working and doing my thing and having lived in Texas for a few weeks now I’ve only spent a few days here. Not having a permanent address means I can travel and go and do and I’m having such a great time with that. I’ve only been sitting still for 4 days and now I’m packing up the car with my Momma and 2 of our pups to go away for another week. I have to say the freedom is fabulous!
And in this my Ollie boy gets to play with 3 other dogs.
Ruby, the older but doesn’t know it and insanely playful Boston Terrier. Here she’s all played out. Ollie is a lot to handle.
Mr. Cooper, the old and crotchety apricot poodle who loves me just as much as I love him. He’s playful, a loud barker and keeps my lap warm like nothing on this planet. He’s perfect.
And last, but not least there is Roscoe, the long legged, anxiety ridden Bichon Frise that drives the other dogs nuts because as a slow eater he’s still getting after his bowl while they sit and watch. He gets nervous when the others play and he runs around making wailing sounds while they do. Most of the time you can find him hanging out in his crate, his little safe spot, in the den.
I had run out to Dollar General to snap up a package of Purina Alpo Meal Helpers to see what all was going on. I figure Ollie gets a bit bored with the some old thing every meal and a little upping of the flavor wouldn’t be bad. I’ve done the gravies and sauces but I always get them everywhere so a little package of dry stuff to toss in sounded fabulous.
I was pretty surprised that out of all of the dogs Roscoe was the most interested. He popped out of that crate to see what the heck was going on.
Upon opening the box Mr. Cooper also became curious and it was easy to see why, the smell of meat was pretty strong when that cardboard came out. Trusty camera in hand I went to snap a pic of the Meal Helper pouch and was so surprised when little mister nervous fluff ganked that business straight out of my hand!
And took it straight to the back of his crate!
I guess you won’t be terribly surprised to learn that Mr. Cooper and Roscoe were big, big fans of the Alpo Meal Helpers. I like it too because I LOVE giving animals special little treats!
