I’m tired of my home being sterile. I want to jazz it up a bit. Throw in some decoration and warmth up in this bidness. After all, I pay a mortgage every month and take care of this place, sweeping it’s floors, changing it’s filters and I figure I deserve to have it the way I want it.
Granted I’m hoping to move soon and that is why everything was taken down and stored away, to remove any trace of the person who lived here before leaving every buyer to be able to easily see them buying and living in this home (fingers crossed!)
So when I started cozying up in this piece again I realized something quite phenomenal. Somehow, somewhere my style has totally evolved into something else. I’m pretty well over the sterile items with clean lines. A room full of white statues as the only decor seems way to minimal to me now even if I did just put it together a year ago.
In making my home homier, I wanted a wicker lampshade. But I couldn’t find one. And if I could I probably wouldn’t want to pay the price they wanted for it. So instead I grabbed my handy dandy Tacky Glue and made my own faux wicker lampshade with some killer thick stripes! Check it out!
