Folding Lace Window Screens

Make folding lace window screens to keep out bugs and let outside in at Dream a Little Bigger.

Whether it is nice outside or even a considerable amount too warm or cold to have the windows open, they are. So basically between 59-88 degrees = windows open up in this house. I like the breeze and I like airing out my home. I may want to own four cats but I have no idea to also possess that crazy cat lady "smell". You know what I'm talking about.

So I invest in wax burners as I recently realized that I haven't purchased candles in approximately two years because of Max a.k.a. Dummy. He has a desire stronger than common sense or pain encouraging him to touch the flame... repeatedly. And while perfuming up the joint is nice and helps with that CCL smell, nothing beats having the windows open round the clock weather permitting.

Framed Lace Earring Holder Tutorial

Organize your earrings and have a pretty display. Framed lace earring holder tutorial at Dream a Little Bigger

I am so proud to say that I am just rolling right along with my 2013 Resolutions. One of them was to decorate my bedroom before I get tired of the paint color and things are just peachy!

Some time ago I made a specs organizer and it has gotten a lot of play on Pinterest. Running along the same vein, I wanted to make an organizer for some of my prettier earrings. There are two reasons for this. 1 - since I work from home my pretty earrings don't get worn much and that seems just sad. 2 - I need wall art for my bedroom and what better to adorn my boudoir than my favorite and prettiest jewelry?

Repurposed Lace Scrap Tennies

Updated on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 by Registered CommenterAllison Murray

Repurposed lace scrap tennies - Dream a Little Bigger

If there is one thing crafting does, it is make waste. We cut away at fabric, foam and the like to get the shape or area that we need. While sometimes the rest is still useable, it is often trash.

One of the scrap items I have been accumulating are lace scraps. Maybe I cut a piece just shy of the length I actually needed. Maybe decided to go another direction and what I cut went unused. It happens a bunch of different ways and very frequently.

So, I gathered some of my lace scraps along with some pretty lace my Mimmie gave me and glued it onto a pair of canvas sneakers. Now these sneakers I meant to dye beige, but crafting while I am ill means that I grabbed the wrong box and didn't realize that the water was the wrong color. I think I would prefer if they had been beige (I was hoping that it would appear kind of nude, like the canvas wasn't even there) but these are pretty awesome, too.
