Cross Stitch iPhone Cover!

Cross stitch an iPhone case! Dream a Little Bigger

Today's post isn't all lovey dovey in a traditional romantic sense. Afterall, what can be less romantic than a phone ? Perhaps the cover could be.

But the thing is, and I don't think that I'm alone in this, I LOVE my phone. That's right... with capital letters. After all, there is so, so much that a cell phone is nowadays. Besides the obvious, I quite literally schedule all of my work on my phone. My multitasking phone also is my: watch, alarm clock, cooking timer, main email access, Ebay and Etsy browser, quick internet search facilitator, social media keeper upper, Pinterest enabler, remote banker, music center, weatherman, weather alert radio (a big deal in tornado alley), and so much more.  I don't even have a home phone anymore, what's the point?

Hugs and Kisses Garland - XOXO!

Hugs and Kisses Garland -xoxo- Dream a Little Bigger

It would seem for every holiday I have a favorite saying to accompany the times. For me and Valentine's Day it is, without a doubt, XOXO. It's short, sweet and cute which I think is absolutely perfect.

This garland will soon be used to adorn my mantle. But seeing as how it is currently the only lovey dovey decor, I'll leave a reveal until a bit more has been accomplished!

So yesterday, you may have seen my How to Cut Perfect Felt tutorial. If you didn't you may want to check it out before proceeding. Ready to move on? Cool, let's hit it...

Cowboy Boot Christmas Stocking Pattern (free)

FREE cowboy boot Christmas stocking pattern - Dream a Little Bigger

Last year my nephew was all about cowboys. He wanted the boots, the hat and Woody was practically his biggest hero. Upon speaking to him this past week, however, I have learned that cowboys are stupid. So, it looks like it will be back to the drawing board for this fickle little dude.

But there is no reason not to share! I absolutely adore this pattern and I'm sure any number of people would love to have the country themed receptacle for Santa's goodies.

Distressed Gingerbread Man Felt Stocking Pattern

Free distressed gingerbread man Christmas stocking pattern - Dream a Little Bigger

For years my big contribution to the family's Christmas festivities has been a ridiculous amount of homemade cookies. We're talking sugar cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip, peanut butter, macaroons, chocolate covered macaroons, classic chocolate chip, butter cookies and pecan sandies. In addition, I have always made and highly decorated gingerbread men.

The little guys were always the last to go and only one person would choose them over the others. My Poppa would grab a nice assortment of cookies, including my favorite and most time consuming cookie treats. But then again, this is a man who would often order whatever was biggest on the menu.

So last year when making his Christmas stocking, it only made sense to do something food related. Since gingerbread men are by their very nature decorative, I decided to go with that. Just for good measure, he appears to be distressed because a big bite has been taken out of his head.

Free Christmas Flamingo Stocking Pattern

FREE flamingo caught up in Christmas lights stocking pattern - Dream a Little Bigger

Last year I decided that it was high time I made stockings for my family. Unfortunately I started the second week of December and didn't exactly make the deadline and only finished up 5 out 10. The completed ones went into a paper bag and tossed into the craft closet to come out another day.

So now here I am, the week before Thanksgiving getting back into it. And in the spirit of generosity I'm sharing the first pattern I made from the stocking I whipped up for Momma last year.

You see Momma loves things like lawn flamingos and totally random stuff placed throughout her gardens, on her fence, you name it. This stocking came together really easily and she's already seen it and loves it (I am no good at keeping secrets - I showed her this summer).

Since I made these last year I don't have a photo DIY.
