Chained Sunglasses - Easy Tutorial

I've mentioned it many times before, but I live in Oklahoma. Good people but we tend to run behind on the trends. Sometimes considerably so. Case in point, sometimes you'll see a chick walking around rocking the up tall bangs that should never have been in style in the first place. Besides the amount of curling iron effort and hair spray that goes into those things, they're not attractive. On anyone.

Kumihimo - 8 Strand Cord Tutorial

The very second I heard about Kumihimo I was online ordering a starter kit for myself. The. Very. Second. When it got here I jumped around the living room like a loon clutching my bubble mailer. I hadn't even opened it yet.

When I opened it, I jumped right in. The directions were on the backside of the product card and it was easy enough to follow, though I did get a bit irritated. In my set was enough 1 mm cord to make 8 bracelets. Russell and I sat down to watch a movie, me with my new best friend, Kumihimo disk, and got to it.

Tee Shirt Infinity Scarft DIY by The Experiemental Home

Today I'm really excited to be sharing with you a guest post from Dream a Little Bigger reader and fellow blogger, Laura from The Experimental Home. I love the duality of Laura's nature, being both creative and logical (a scientist!). Without further ado, I'll let Laura take the stage:

Yup, it will only take you 30 seconds to make an infinity scarf out of a t-shirt. I used XXXL t-shirts that I bought for a couple bucks at the craft store, but you could use any old t-shirt. However, the bigger the shirt you start with, the bigger your scarf will be. My XXXL shirts made really big (perhaps a little too big) scarves.

From Sneakers to Laced Up Flats Tutorial at Mom Spark!

Have you ever seen a pair of shoes at the store and instantly thought of practicing major surgery on them? I mean, like, turning a pair of tennis shoes into a pair of flats without ever having even worn them?

Galaxy Shoes Tutorial for Men, Women and Children at Mom Spark!

So this galaxy shoe trend has been big, right? Well, I'm just now hopping onto the bandwagon and I'm guessing better late than never!

I wanted to make pair of the fun little kicks for my nephew. He'll wear out any pair of shoes I make for him. I tell the tale all about the tale of the viper inspired reptile shoes I made for him over at Mom Spark!

This DIY is fairly quick and easy and I'm pretty happy with it for an unguided first attempt. This tutorial does not use bleach, just acrylic paints and fabric/textile medium.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Mom Spark to check out these DIY galaxy shoes for men, women and children!

Reverse Printed Faux Saddle Shoes Tutorial

So here we are for project #5 of Mod Podge Week! This was my very first experience with Mod Podge Photo Transfer Medium and let me just say that I've already purchased my second bottle. This llittle bottle is big fun...

Some time ago I made a pair of saddle shoes using only a black fabric marker. I've mentioned before my shoe purges where I have to give some up to keep some of the new shoes I make. What I don't keep I give to my sister who, conveniently, wears the same size as I do. Only having worn the saddle shoes a few times I went ahead and tucked them into one of the many bags of DIYed 'stuff' I carry down every visit.
