You may or may not have noticed, but this blog has had a very drastic makeover in the last week! What do you think? You like? I LOVE it and think it’s just the thing Dream a Little Bigger needed! I’m going to share more details of the redesign process in the coming weeks, but for now if you want a new look (at an affordable price I might add) check out Bumble and Buzz – the design co. from Miss Melyssa from The Nectar Collective!
In other exciting news around here, the crafts of yours truly recently got some awesome features! My Mondrian Chart for Latch Hook appeared on Make! And CraftGossip shared my Duck Tape Beads and 50 Free States Silhouette Cut Files! Thanks so much – it is so awesome and humbling to see my DIYs make the pages of such awesome sites!
Now let’s get into last week’s entries from last week’s truly awesome link party! There were an amazing number of handmade things entered and a big thanks goes to Melissa from Two It Yourself! Be sure to head on over to her blog to check out her favorites!
But now on to my favorites. I had SUCH a hard time choosing, so today I’m sharing THREE of my favorites!
I love silhouette art and I love all animals, especially dogs. I also love getting children involved in creative and artistic projects even babies. So when I clicked over to The Experimental Home (which I also love), I was instantly in love with this amazing DIY art project used to chipper up her little one’s new playroom. Head on over for the full details, Dog Silhouette Art, and if you’re not a dog person this would be equally sweet with cats, horses, birds, you name it!
I love free printables and I love cozy and comfortable sweaters. My favorite one I’ve had since high school and it is so amazingly cozy. When I saw that So It Was Weekend and I Was Bored was offering some super cute fall freebie sweater images I was stoked and downloaded them instantly! There are several including a cute fall saying in English and German PLUS each comes in red or blue! Head on over to check out the blog of this amazingly sweet and bilingual lady, my friend, MidSommarFlicka!
I think this idea from Buttons and Paint is just plain genius. Take a walk around your hometown and photograph text and words to basically make your own photo font. I think this such an amazing little scavenger hunt style adventure and I plan on taking my nephews to do this one day. Be sure to visit the post to see just how these letters are being used! And I have to say it just once more, pure genius!
Thanks so much to Miss Melissa from Two it Yourself for co-hosting and don’t forget to head over there to check out her favorites! And I’m excited to say that we will be having Melissa back in the future – stay tuned!
The RULES – because why the heck not:
- Link anything you made yourself but nothing that is available for sale. (you don’t have to have a blog or site just leave that bit empty or link up your Facebook profile, etc.)
- Link back to Dream a Little Bigger to be considered for next week’s feature roundup! (you can grab that awesome button up there – hubba hubba!)
- Click through one or two of your favorite links and leave some comment love!
- Entries are randomly placed so that everyone gets top billing. I HATE when I get to a party late and my links get stuck somewhere in the middle! Well, that’s not gonna happen here, folks!
