In this week’s news my family had one amazing Christmas in 2013. I mean, it was absolutely fantastic and I have lots of wonderful memories. Highlights include my mom riding my nephew’s new bike around the front yard, playing with a litter of 4 week old puppies my sister has been bottle feeding, going to the zoo, petting a Patagonia cavy and starting on my office mini-remodel with my father.
In fact, as I sit here typing I’m also rocking a serious headache from paint fumes but we bloggers persevere! I think the best bit was that I didn’t touch the blog from the 24-28th. Like not a single time. That was a really great break but I’m super stoked to be back here hanging out with you all! And if I had any official type of blog oriented news I can’t remember it so we’ll just keep on keepin’ on.
Remember… If you want to pin these lovely projects or tweet them out to your followers, click through and share them from the original site. Give some love to those who worked hard on their amazing projects!
I have a feeling that a lot of you are over Christmas because, well, it’s over. But this link party went on for two weeks and there were so many amazing Christmas projects that I simply HAD to share a few. So let’s have one last jingle, shall we?
These DIY tassel ornaments from Two Live Colorfully are lots and lots of fun and with the many different colors of yarn totally doable for any Christmas color scheme. I love the simple look and the fact that this DIY can easily be a stash buster for your extra bits of yarn. This looks like one fun blog and I’m totally looking forward to the opportunity to really dig in :)
Like most of the people out there, I want my home to smell nice, warm and inviting. I’m not sure if you should call this a recipe, or perhaps a concoction?? as it is something that you don’t eat, but this Smells of the Season DIY looks amazing. Click through to check out the full post by Crafty Lumberjacks (and how fun is that name, seriously!) to see how to make your home smell all seasonal and fantastic!
If you’ve ever been here before you probably know about Laura from The Experimental Home. Although there is no doubt that she’s waaaaay smarter than me (she’s an honest to goodness scientist, folks!) I often think that we could be crafty twins. So many times when I see her projects it seems as though we have exactly the same craft aesthetic which is probably why I love and feature her so much. These GIGANTIC letters are amazing. Totally and utterly wonderful and great for any season. Get the full tutorial and get ready to make a run on foam core.
I love freebies and I love so much about this freebie from Elegance and Enchantment. As many of you know, I’m over chevron but I just can’t help myself and I’m totally digging it on these monthly printables! You can get yourself all kitted out for 2013 with each month all of which feature some stylish and totally awesome color schemes! 12 Days of Holiday Design – Calendar
And last, but not least, I adore this paperweight from Creative Khadija. I think it looks amazing and fun and I love the stained glass look it has going on, but I love that she takes homemade dough left forgotten to harden in the craft closet and turns something doomed to hit the trash can into something so pretty. I mean, I’d totally buy this! While you may not have a chunk of dried dough on your hands, you could always use fresh dough to make a similar shape or just read through for inspiration on using and reusing (because craftiness makes so, so much waste and we need to conserve where we can!)
And don’t forget… you have THREE TIMES the potential for comment love, social shares and featured favorites this coming Sunday, so link up!!! And be sure to share the love with your friends! Grab the buttons below to show you’ve been featured or that you proudly link up!
Share the love, grab a button!
The RULES – nothing fun to say, to stinkin’ tired:
- Link anything you made yourself but nothing that is available for sale. (you don’t have to have a blog or site just leave that bit empty or link up your Facebook profile, etc.)
- Link back to Dream a Little Bigger to be considered for next week’s feature roundup! (you can grab that awesome button up there – hubba hubba!)
- Click through one or two of your favorite links and leave some comment love!
- Entries are randomly placed so that everyone gets top billing. I HATE when I get to a party late and my links get stuck somewhere in the middle! Well, that’s not gonna happen here, folks!
