It’s been yet another hectic week. My blog went to Hades and back and I sat in front of my computer crying far more than any blogger should, really. You can read all about that heart-warming goodness this afternoon in my better blogger series. I’m sure you can’t wait. I really sold that post with “crying far more than any blogger should” didn’t I? :)
I also learned that I’ve had my age wrong for almost 11 months now. Yes, it turns out I am not 32 and I’m actually 33. *sigh* Is there a pill that can make you better at numbers or something? Maybe ginko is in order!
But other than calamities of bloggy or age matters, it’s been a fairly quiet week. Don’t get me wrong, the blog deciding to implode on itself sucked in a major way, but I do have some pretty big GOOD news that I’m pretty darn excited about. Next week this little Link Party is growing by 33%. That’s right! Melissa and I decided to bring in a third co-host of Link It or Lump It and I’m so excited. Who is the new leading lady? None other than the fantastic Miss Amy from Delineate Your Dwelling. So be sure to link up because next Sunday you have the chance of being featured on THREE different blogs!
You guys are rock stars, seriously.
It’s time to pick my favorites and I have to tell you, it never gets any easier…
I love anything that basically allows you to wear your craftiness on your sleeve, or around your neck as in this case from The Cwafty Blog! RaChil was inspired by a necklace that cost a whopping FIFTY BUCKS and she went along the route of DIY over BUY. Smart gal. The tutorial is super simple to follow with lots of pics, so check it out, get a crafty bit of jewelry and save yourself, oh, $45! Pin Cushion Thimble Necklace
You’ve seen the work of Rena Klingenberg from Jewelry Making Journal on Link It or Lump It before and I’m sure you’ll see it again! This Chain Reaction Necklace is simple to make, incredibly on trend and I want one, badly. Head on over to see how simple it is to make this necklace and start collecting up nifty chains to make your own one day!
So I was pretty stoked when I went to Nearly Handmade and, reading down the post, realized that Janice actually used the 50 states Silhouette cut files I made for some super awesome wall art. I mean, how nifty is that? She’s got the nation divided up by time zones with clocks with the correct time for each just above. I love the clean contemporary look and the color pallet she used couldn’t have been nicer. Head on over to Nearly Handmade to see how to make your own Time Zone Bathroom Art! Oh, and Janice’s Facebook fan page is brand new, so be sure to click over to give some love!
I can’t knit. I’ve tried and it ain’t happening but there are some crafty projects that desperately make me wish I could get after it with the knitting needles. This Knit Macbook Sweater Pattern from Just B Crafty is one of those things. I mean, look at the turtle necks on those things! And the color schemes are fabulous! If you know how to knit head on over and check it out. Heck, if you’re just learning to knit, head on over to pin the project for later! Oh, and we’ve got another brand spankin’ new Facebook page to get to likin’!
Can you believe that these super chic little lights are actually made from ping pong balls, of all things? I love when something unexpected is used to an amazing and chic end! I mean, these are the same things people play beer pong with and they look like they belong on the cover of Pottery Barn. See how to make your own Ping Pong Holiday Lights from Mom Projects.
And this week we have double the link love for Mom Projects! I mean, I couldn’t not share this awesome little match jar. She etched “C’mon Baby Light My Fire” on the canister for crying out loud! Could that be any cuter or more fun? No. It can’t. This is perfect! To see the complete project with matches head on over and check it out.
Now that you’ve seen my favorites… Head on over to Two It Yourself to see what Melissa chose as her favorites this week!
And don’t forget… you have THREE TIMES the potential for comment love, social shares and featured favorites this coming Sunday, so link up!!! And be sure to share the love with your friends! Grab the buttons below to show you’ve been featured or that you proudly link up!
Share the love, grab a button!
The RULES – does anybody actually read these? Hmmm:
- Link anything you made yourself but nothing that is available for sale. (you don’t have to have a blog or site just leave that bit empty or link up your Facebook profile, etc.)
- Link back to Dream a Little Bigger to be considered for next week’s feature roundup! (you can grab that awesome button up there – hubba hubba!)
- Click through one or two of your favorite links and leave some comment love!
- Entries are randomly placed so that everyone gets top billing. I HATE when I get to a party late and my links get stuck somewhere in the middle! Well, that’s not gonna happen here, folks!
