First off I have a big thank you to say and I’m going to try my best not to get too mushy. There’s been this bloggy lady who has been there since pretty much the beginning. She’s been an inspiration and such an amazing friend to have. Anytime I have a question she’ll answer me honestly every time. I’ve come to count on her and now I can come to her whenever I need to. And I know that she’s comfortable enough to come to me. And it’s nice to know that she values our friendship just as much.
In case you haven’t figured it out, yet, this bloggy buddy is the one and only, totally sweet and original Lauren from The Thinking Closet. When she reached out for some advice on a shoe makeover I was honored that she thought of me for some advice. And then when she gave me such amazing props on the post I was floored. Head on over to check out the fantastic post, Retro Canvas Shoe Makeover and be sure to say hi in the comments! I also am pleased to say that I was featured on CraftGossip TWICE while I was out of town! Thanks so much for the features and check them out for yourself: Instafamous Photo Frames and How to Make Stickers.
Remember… If you want to pin these lovely projects or tweet them out to your followers, click through and share them from the original site. Give some love to those who worked hard on their amazing projects!
Isn’t this crochet afghan from *B*A*M! Crafts amazing? I am so totally in love with the colors and the alternating stripes. It’s most definitely a labor of crochet love and quite the sampler piece! Click through to see pics of the work in progress, a super sweet crafty cat picture and get the link to get the pattern to make your own! POST: It’s finished! My fantastic, stripey, crochet gorgeousness!
I LOVE modern quilting and if I had the time, patience or the sewing skills I’d really, really want to make gorgeous works of art like this one from Quilting Mod. I mean, isn’t it perfectly fab? Each block is unique and fantastic and I am so in love with the colors. If you love it, too check out more pictures of him traipsing around town (seriously – this is pretty darn funny) and give Afton a vote for her great piece! POST: Bloggers Quilt Festival
Have you heard that I have a lip balm addiction? Because I totally do. One year with both my family and Russell’s family somone thought it would be funny to give me an absolute ton of balms. So I had an absolute ton TIMES TWO! It was freaking awesome but it’s all gone, now. And since I’ve purchased some tubes on Etsy, I’ve got to tell you that I’m a homemade convert. But buying can be expensive so I am over the moon about trying this recipe from The Seasoned Homemaker. POST: DIY Buttery Lip Balm.
I don’t know what it is about this chair that I love so much, but man, oh, man do I ever love it. Maybe it’s the purple, maybe it’s the gold legs, maybe its the perfect amount of distressing. Whatever it is, check it out at The Happy Housie. POST: Perfection Chair with Gold Wax and Dipped Legs
And last, but not least, we’ve got this absolutely fabulous tee shirt makeover. Sometimes just adding a bit of fabric to simple tee can move it front and center in your closet. The fabric pairing is perfect and it looks so comfy with a pop of something that makes it feel a bit dressier. Ooh, and I just love Julie at Sum of their Stories and she’s been featured a good number of times at Link It or Lump It before. If you haven’t visited her blog before, you must do so today! POST: Striep Tee Shirt with Floral Trim.
