Hey, hey! I’m back from Spring Break and ready to rock out this party like nothing you’ve ever seen. Since I missed a week I made up for it by posting my features today. Better late than never, right? And I have to tell you, that was a TON of links to look through and choose my favorites but I did it despite the hemming and hawing I experienced in choosing those favorite features!
Before we head on into the party I want to share something very neat! A gentleman named Fred got in touch about my Mondrian rug. His wife loved it and he wanted to make it for her. We emailed back and forth and this last week he sent me a picture of his Mondrian rug. So, whatcha think? This was only Fred’s SECOND rug ever – isn’t that amazing! :)
Next on the agenda… I’ve started a Pinterest group board! You see I’ve found that you get out of group boards what you put in and I’ve gotten some amazing results. It just seemed to make sense to start my own. And guess what!?! I want you to join up and pin your stuff to it! It’s for all things crafty or DIY and you don’t have to be a blogger to join. I’d love for anyone and everyone to share their favorite projects from across the internet whether they have their own patch of blogland or not! So head on over and give me a follow and I’ll follow you back and comment on this pin (or message me or email me) so that I can get you into the group!
Remember… If you want to pin these lovely projects or tweet them out to your followers, click through and share them from the original site. Give some love to those who worked hard on their amazing projects!
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken. This is one of my all time favorite quotes. I’ve been told it’s because I’m weird and it is the type of quote that agrees that it’s okay. So when I saw this fantastic free printable from Elegance and Enchantment it was a must download! The layout is impeccable, the colors amazing and I love everything about it. Pure perfection!
Since starting this blog I have severely neglected my gardens. Mostly because I’d rather glitter something than to EVER have a snake slide across my foot again (country living at its finest!) But this year I’ve decided that I’m going to do more around my home to make it be the place I want it to be, outdoors included. So when I saw this amazing outdoor marquee light from Dolen Diaries it really got me geared up and ready to head out and pull some weeds or whatever. Click on over to see how to make your own. You might be surprised at how simple it is!
It’s no secret that I adore Lauren from The Thinking Closet. She’s upbeat and crafty and kind and so creative. Just to prove how creative she can be, check out this 31 questions for 31 years birthday video in an insanely short and kind of stressful time period! And here is the flat out truth about videos. About 30-45 seconds in, I tune out. Unless it’s something like a kid falling down and busting their noggin I can’t seem to rock much of an attention span with online videos. But I watched Lauren all the way through. Maybe it’s because she’s charming or maybe it’s because I wanted to know more about this special gal or maybe it’s because it was entertaining. However you slice it, you should really check this one out!
This Ikea Shoe Cabinet Makeover is so unique and amazing and creative and I LOVE it! I absolutely love when someone takes something so generic, because that’s what IKEA does best, really, and makes it distinctly their own! See what you can do with a little bit of Mod Podge and imagination over at Conversations at 901.
I can go for a salad any time of year. Seriously. And I love salads that take advantage of in season produce. What’s better in winter than a citrus salad? Perhaps this Orange Poppy Seed Salad because it also has one of my favorite foods ever in it, avocado! Check out this brilliantly simple and tasty supper over at Classy Clutter. Om, nom, nom.
Guess what I just happened to go nuts buying at the thrift store recently? Yep, old Reader’s Digest books and I’m totally stoked because I think they would make such fun notebooks, just like Katie from Little House of Four shows how to do in a nifty tutorial. Since I’m not much of a paper crafter, I had no idea that some of these things were available or so easy to use to do and now I’m totally stoked! Reader’s Digest to Notebooks
I love everything about this photo. That chair? Amazing. Those pillows? Amazing. Wall color, decorative knick knacks, flooring, amazing, amazing, amazing! Head on over to Besa GM to learn how to make these knot pillows (they’re way simpler than they look at first glance!) and get some super amazing inspiration. Is that one too many amazings? :)

The whole pallet wood thing has kind of eluded me. I understand the need to reuse things but I often don’t want to reuse them in my own home. Perhaps it’s because my personal style is on a different path or perhaps it just ain’t my thing. But THIS pallet wood topped dresser speaks to me. Perhaps not for my own home but I love the masculine look and think it would be a great way to make over the dresser in my nephew’s room, especially when they start to get a bit older. Check out the full post at Brepurposed.
And here are my honorable mentions!

And don’t forget… you have FOUR TIMES the potential for comment love, social shares and featured favorites this coming Sunday, so link up!!! And be sure to share the love with your friends! Grab the buttons below to show you’ve been featured or that you proudly link up! Share the love, grab a button! The RULES – because I took the time to write ’em up:
- Link anything you made yourself but nothing that is available for sale. (you don’t have to have a blog or site just leave that bit empty or link up your Facebook profile, etc.)
- Link back to Dream a Little Bigger to be considered for next week’s feature roundup! (you can grab that awesome button up there – hubba hubba!)
- Click through one or two of your favorite links and leave some comment love!
- Entries are randomly placed so that everyone gets top billing. I HATE when I get to a party late and my links get stuck somewhere in the middle! Well, that’s not gonna happen here, folks!
