Killing Time – Learn Something Every Day

Learn Something Every Day via Dream a Little Bigger

I have this weird thing about knowing really strange and really obscure facts. When I was a kid I loved things like the Guinness Book of World Records. If I wasn’t reading the Babysitters Club I had lots of fun books my dad had gotten for me. Books like – craziest US laws still in effect and strange things animals do. If it was anything about odd facts, I was all over it. And guess what? I still am.

I’m always looking for good resources of odd material. A couple of weeks ago I shared with you ASAP Science which gives you a whole bunch of random facts in a video that is about 2 minutes long. This time I’m sharing Copic’s Learn Something Every Day.

Every day for a few years these talented people would find (or be tipped off) about a fun fact that they would illustrate and post. Most of the drawings are simple and quaint but the interesting factor is really where the fun of this site is at.

Unfortunately, the project ended in 2011, and some of the images were removed to be included exclusively in their book Learn Something Every Day by YoungLearn Something Every Day via Dream a Little Bigger but there ae still a lot of really fun images to see.

Here’s a little sampler of some of my favorites.

Oh – and here’s a little bonus time waster – Which Babysitters Club character are you? I’m apparently a Mallory!
