Everybody loves hearts, and I kind of really do too. They’re super girly and they mean love and whatever and they’re pretty. Now when I anticipate having a bad Valentine’s Day around this time of year I freaking hate them. Hate the sight of them. But when I don’t I love them. I’m fickle.
And before we go too far let me tell you what I was once told as a teenager… it is believed that the shape of the heart, the symbol for love in the modern world, was taken from the shape of a woman’s buttocks when bending over. How interesting is that? This couldn’t have been a willowy thin woman like Kate Moss but a woman with some meat on her bones, as was the fashion more often than not in history. It was also said it could be from the anatomy of a lady’s more intimate bits but we’ve gotten a bit raunchy enough for today, thanks very much. School’s over.
This wreath, shaped like buttocks or not, is super cute and high impact! It isn’t the quickest project around but it is one of the prettier ones! If you’re not down with Valentine’s Day because it is a holiday created by the card and candy companies to take your hard earned money, never fear. This would look equally cute in the colors of a holiday you do approve of on a plain ol’ circle wreath!
