I like things to be clean. One of the first things people new to my home typically will notice and bring up is the fact is the smell of my home. “It smells so clean!” or “I wouldn’t even have known you have cats!”
And that’s because I am super particular. I bleach just about anything that is germ-y and can take it (hello kitchen sink) and I burn wax melts all of the time to add a little pretty aroma over the I have a huge stash of cleaning supplies and I know you can tell just by the smell, smell.
This extends to my clothes. I have sensitive skin. If I use the wrong laundry detergent or fabric softener I will be allergic to my clothes. Imagine that everything on your body is making you sick. Giving you a rash that itches and burns EVERYWHERE. I normally only experience this issue away from home, like when my Momma tosses my laundry into the wash when I am visiting. For some reason it doesn’t seem to happen right away. The burn slowly comes on. So we’ll be in the car an hour or so into a 6 hour drive when I start to notice that I’m a wee bit uncomfortable. By the time we arrive I’ll have bumpy, irritated skin and it will take all I have to not start stripping my clothes once we get into the door of our destination.
I know what works for me and what doesn’t. There are sensitive skin detergents that don’t seem to get dirty smells out of things. Ew. And then there are the ones that still seem to bother my skin. Lastly there are the ones that practically cost an arm and a leg.
So when I gave all free clear a go I was the most excited about the price. Specialty detergent can get pricey. So when I noticed this was the same price as the regular All and less expensive than quite a few on the shelves I was pretty stoked. Because if this works for me it will save me some big chaching.
Turns out that this stuff is 100% hypoallergenic and is the most recommended by dermatologists, allergists and pediatricians. There are absolutely no dyes or perfumes and it’s amazingly gentle for skin. Flat out, I’m really digging all free clear. It is affordable, it cleans super well and my skin is smooth and rash free. Boom! I’ll take that any day!
