They say that necessity is the mother of invention. And while my recent conundrum wasn’t exactly a necessity it sure seemed like it at the time. I decided that my bathrooms NEEDED some homemade lotion for guests this winter. With that being said, I didn’t have a whole lot of time to bust out the shea butter and work out the perfect recipe. So instead I called up my Mimmie and got her “recipe” that is pretty dang common and on many more blogs than just this one. Voila… homemade lotion. Mostly. Kind of. Maybe? Since you have to bust out the hand mixer, I’m going to call this one homemade.
My second need was that I wanted my lotion to be cutely held in mason jars that were reminiscent of snowmen with a pump top. (Where do I get these very specific ideas from? I have NO clue!) After a look at Amazon for pump tops and finding the cheapest around $12 (boo) I decided that I could figure this out and make my darn own. And I did.
So head on over to Mom Spark to learn how to A. Make some “homemade” lotion that is great for dry winter skin B. learn how to make a mason jar lid into a pump top for lotions or soaps or whatever C. learn how to make the whole works into a snowman.
